How people quit cigarettes

interacted with a guy at starbucks about quitting cigarette. I found that a lot of people are not willing to try the e-cigarettes, dont know why. Allthough e-cigarettes are something federal authorities dont approve off, but dont deny too, they are right now analyising its risks and advantages then they will make an statement. Meanwhile i had met one lady in las vegas, who was smoking while we were gambling she said that she likes e-cigarettes and doesnt go to the normal ones at all, e-cigs feel just the same for her.
People try these methods to quit cigarettes:
a)not buy them at all, but ask for it whenever somebody else is smoking on the street :),
b) Group of friends put a band on their wrist as a mark of cigarette abstinence program. They help each other in quitting.
c) Sweat it out at gym, it takes some time to get rid of those toxins.
d) people take interest in other hobbies if they have
e) people do meditation/yoga whenever they feel the urge ( he was saying it really works for him).
e) Lot of people fail because of half hearted attempt, that happens because of lack of motivation, lack of motivation because their well-wishers not pushing them much.
f) their are rehab centers everywhere.
g) experienced people advice an obvious thing that sooner you stop smoking easier it is for you. h) Their is sudden surge of the urge for smoking after 3rd month and another one after 6th month of quitting, if you people can avert these then its get really tough for them.
i) Find a strong motivation to get rid of it.
j) Do it in small steps and at every successful step reward yourself.
k) If you are a foodie, then dont smoke the whole day to eat one of that mouth-watering dish or that juice that is bad for your health :)
l) learn guitar and start making music
m) Sports et. al.

List goes on and on. I think since everybody is different if a method works for one, it might not work for another. But remember their is that ONE METHOD FOR SURE that will work for you. Keep looking for it, unless you quit. And remember never quit!
